What are you curious about in your yoga practice?

I believe the practice of yoga is the practice of being a better human; I am curious about how my practice can help me expand & connect.

Time stands still when you:

Look up at the moon & stars.

What can I expect when practicing with you?

I will help you move out of your comfort zone & try on something new while being supported to find self love.

Bio

Practicing at SWEAT has given me so many things; I am excited to explore all yoga has to offer with you. I aim to be kind, thoughtful, authentic, judgment free and to move with intention. I want to help guide you through your yoga journey so that you can access what you’re looking for — to help find the balance between body, mind and soul.

I consider myself a global citizen and my journey brought me here to western Massachusetts in 2015. The USA is the sixth country where I have lived and I have had the chance to practice yoga in four of them. After giving up dancing in high school, I was searching for a type movement that landed in a similar way, and that lead to my love of yoga. I practiced sporadically in several different styles over the years, but started to develop a consistent practice when I joined the SWEAT community in January 2018.  After falling in love with the sequence and practicing faithfully, I could see all the benefits that yoga gave me on and off mat, both physically and mentally. Wanting to share this with others, it felt like the right time to embark on my journey into teaching, completing my 200 hour RYT training in 2021. I love to learn and I am excited to continue expanding my yogic knowledge so that I can bring new things into my classes.

Off my mat I love to play board games and to read (my book collection is colour coded). I enjoy cooking and can’t wait to travel to new countries and try new foods. I previously was an optometrist and still love all things eye related. Although I love both tea and coffee, if I were forced to choose a cappuccino it would be. I live with my husband and our two retired racing greyhounds.
