Bio

Yoga got me unstuck. It taught me to let go and let happen. In 2019, I was diagnosed with a vascular issue that forced me to stop all physical activities. I was an avid runner and incorporated spin and other high intensity activities into my routine multiple times a week. My world was turned upside down and I found myself grieving the loss of my physical strength and ability, and my emotional and mental health outlet.

After being given the OK to begin incorporating low impact activities back into my routine, my physicians strongly suggested that I try yoga. With some resistance I began exploring yoga as an alternative form of physical movement. I had tried a number of classes in the Boston area and slowly began to appreciate the physical practice. When I moved back to Western MA in 2020 and discovered SWEAT Power Yoga, something clicked – I had found my community and felt an entirely new connection to the practice. I decided I wanted to take a deeper dive into yoga practice and philosophy, so I enrolled in the 2021 RYT 200 Hour SWEAT Self-Discovery Yoga Teacher Training.

As I step into my new role as teacher and remain on my journey as student, I continue to be awed by the transformative nature of yoga and the infinite lessons it has to offer. Each time I roll out my mat or enter the studio to teach, I feel so much gratitude for the opportunity to share in the experience of each person’s yoga journey through physical practice on the mat and beyond.

I have come to define my teaching style as playful empowerment. In my class, you will be challenged to find your edge and you can expect to have fun while doing it.

Off the mat, I work in Human Resources, and I am a social psychology enthusiast, fascinated by all things related to human experience. I enjoy getting outdoors with my partner and two puppies, Bixby and Maia, curling up with a good book and a coffee, and exploring new places.
